Gary & Nicola’s Barn Wedding at Castle View Farm & Stables
Gary & Nicola chose to celebrate their wedding at Castle View Farm & Stables in Leicestershire, a venue that lends itself naturally to relaxed barn wedding styling. With warm timber, open space, and countryside views, it provides a strong backdrop without requiring heavy decoration. Their approach was structured and cohesive, allowing the venue to retain its character while layering in soft colour and detail.
It was a clear, sunny day from start to finish. Nicola arrived in a classic car, setting the tone for a celebration that balanced elegance with rustic charm.

Ceremony Styling
The ceremony took place inside the barn. Bridesmaids wore sage green, which became a consistent thread throughout the day. Nicola’s bouquet of white and blush pink roses with gypsophila introduced softness without overpowering the palette.
The aisle was lined with meadowscape florals, bringing natural texture at ground level and drawing attention towards the front of the space. Each end chair was finished with a sage green chair drape, adding subtle structure and reinforcing the colour scheme without dressing every chair.
Gary & Nicola exchanged vows in front of our hexagonal arch, styled with matching florals in one corner. The strength of this design lies in its simplicity. The arch acts as a frame rather than a solid backdrop, allowing the photographer to capture the couple from multiple angles without obstruction. Tudor Rose Weddings documented the day beautifully, and the openness of the structure ensured the barn’s character remained visible in every shot.
Printed signage was used throughout the ceremony and reception spaces, designed to be kept after the wedding. Choosing printed pieces that can be repurposed adds longevity beyond the day itself.
Drinks Reception and Photography
Guests enjoyed drinks outside in the sunshine, making the most of the countryside setting. However, with temperatures rising, group photographs were taken inside the barn where the light remained soft and manageable. This flexibility ensured comfort without compromising the quality of the images.
Wedding Breakfast Styling
For the wedding breakfast, the barn’s existing fairy light backdrop created a warm, ambient setting as the day moved towards evening. Long trestle tables were styled with pink table drapes, introducing a gentle contrast against the wood tones.
Each place setting began with a bronze charger plate, paired with a sage green napkin. A sage green name place featuring white modern calligraphy added definition and consistency across the tables. Guests were also given a small alcoholic favour at their place setting, keeping details personal without cluttering the table.
The ceremony meadowscape florals were repositioned to sit in front of the top table, with the hexagonal arch placed behind. Reusing key elements maintained continuity between ceremony and reception while making the most of the original design investment.
Table centres along the trestle tables combined floating candles and gypsophilia, creating height variation without blocking sightlines. The glass, candlelight, and soft florals balanced the rustic structure of the barn, achieving a look that felt elegant while remaining true to the venue.
A Balanced Rustic Design
Gary & Nicola’s wedding is a strong example of how a barn wedding can feel both refined and relaxed. The palette of sage green, blush pink, and bronze worked consistently across ceremony and reception spaces, and the reuse of key styling elements ensured the day felt connected from start to finish.
Castle View Farm & Stables provides an excellent setting for couples planning a rustic wedding or intimate wedding in Leicestershire, particularly when the styling supports rather than overwhelms the space.
It was a pleasure to deliver wedding styling in Leicestershire for a day that combined clarity of design with thoughtful detail.
