Shanice & Dean’s Barn Wedding at Stretton Manor Barn
Stretton Manor Barn is one of those venues that works beautifully for couples who want a barn setting without losing a sense of elegance. As a recommended supplier for the venue, Sparkle Event Styling has styled many weddings here and always enjoys returning to the space. Its layout allows ceremony and reception styling to work together seamlessly, something that was particularly effective for Shanice & Dean’s day. You can read more about the venue in our guide to weddings at Stretton Manor Barn.
Their wedding took place on a bright, clear day. The weather was sunny but not overly warm, perfect for a countryside celebration. Marie Anson Photography captured the atmosphere beautifully, documenting a day that combined rustic character with soft, elegant styling.

A Warm Welcome
Guests were welcomed to the venue with a printed acrylic welcome sign displayed on a wooden easel. The combination of modern signage and natural wood suited the barn setting perfectly and set the tone for the styling that followed. It was simple, clear, and in keeping with the overall aesthetic of the day.
Intimate Ceremony Styling
The ceremony itself was intimate and emotional. Stretton Manor Barn works particularly well for smaller ceremonies because the barn can be divided into two sections. This means the ceremony space remains calm and focused while the wedding breakfast area is already styled on the other side of the divider. There is no turnaround required, allowing couples to move smoothly from one part of the day to the next.
Shanice walked down the aisle to a room full of emotion, with not a dry eye in the house.
At the front of the ceremony space, a floral moongate arch framed their vows. The circular shape provided a natural focal point while still allowing the character of the barn to remain visible.
Each row of chairs was finished with champagne chair drapes tied with simple white ribbon, introducing colour without overwhelming the room. Along the aisle, sets of floating candles created a soft line of light leading towards the ceremony backdrop.
The florals used throughout the ceremony featured white roses, gypsophila and plenty of foliage, creating a look that felt fresh, natural and in keeping with the rustic setting.
Wedding Breakfast Styling
After the ceremony, guests moved through to the wedding breakfast space, which had already been fully styled and ready to welcome them.
Long trestle tables were arranged throughout the barn, dressed with a champagne fabric drape running down the centre of each table. The soft colour worked beautifully against the rustic wood and brick tones of the venue.
Place settings were elegant yet simple. Each setting began with a gold charger plate, topped with a classic white dinner plate. This combination introduced a refined edge to the barn wedding styling while still feeling relaxed within the countryside setting.
The table centres combined height and softness. Tapered dinner candles in tall gold candlesticks added structure, while bud vases filled with white roses and foliage sat alongside tealights for a layered candlelit effect. As the evening progressed, the candlelight created a gentle flickering glow across the tables.
The moongate arch from the ceremony was moved behind the top table, maintaining continuity between the two spaces and ensuring the ceremony styling continued to feature throughout the reception.
Rustic, Elegant and Simple
Shanice & Dean’s wedding showed how barn wedding styling can remain simple while still feeling refined. Their neutral champagne and white palette paired with soft florals and candlelight created a look that felt both rustic and elegant.
With thoughtful ceremony styling, cohesive wedding breakfast décor and the natural charm of Stretton Manor Barn, the result was a celebration that felt calm, personal and beautifully balanced.
