The Hidden Hive - A Wild & Romantic Venue

Tucked away within the enchanting Derbyshire National Forest, The Hidden Hive is the kind of venue that calls to your imagination, with its trio of grand tipis, cosy snug, and idyllic woodland setting. A truly immersive space, it invites styling that lets nature lead the story, and here at Sparkle Event Styling, that’s precisely where our creativity thrives.

The ceremony unfolds in the charming Honey Bee Barn, licensed for up to 120 guests, an intimate, rustic sanctuary surrounded by towering trees and peaceful lakes. It’s the perfect place to say ‘I do’, framed beautifully by nature and waiting for your personal touches to make it yours.

Once vows are exchanged, guests are led through to the three linked giant tipis, a statement setting that’s both festival-meets-luxury. Within these light-filled structures, our styling can truly flourish: think elegant florals, ambient festoon and fairy lighting, and relaxed lounge styling.

Adjacent, the snug tipi offers quiet respite, complete with Chesterfield sofas, armchairs, fire pits for toasting marshmallows — a space begging for rich textures and atmospheric lighting. 

The venue’s woodland backdrop, rustic flooring, and open-plan layout provide a beautifully neutral canvas that allows our designs to pop without overwhelming the natural surroundings. Whether we’re styling to evoke enchanted boho, gentle woodland romance, or festival-style celebration, The Hidden Hive is endlessly adaptable.

We particularly adore the way our statement backdrops for the ceremony can transition effortlessly behind the top table during the wedding breakfast,  a design moment we created for Alicja & Tom’s spring wedding at The Hidden Hive. It’s these thoughtful transitions that knit the day together beautifully.

The tipis are in the most beautiful woodland setting, surrounded by large lawns that are ideal for garden games, along with decking that makes the perfect alfresco chill out area!
